50/50 Lifestyle Program

Most people realize the benefits of an active, healthy lifestyle. But plunging straight into an extreme exercise routine is a sure way to burn out fast and not achieve the goal you desire. The 50/50 Lifestyle program is a great opportunity to get the fitness and body shape you want. All courses are run by experts in there given field and from professionals with years of experience

This 6 week program consists of:

• Personal Trainer – you will meet and exercise with your trainer each week
• Nutritional consultation – will be given to all participants
• Monitoring of food/food diary – each week you and your trainer will go through your diary and answer any questions
• Fitness Assessment- initial and post program – General assessment and questionnaire
• Additional exercise- at discretion of trainer – Self exercise program done in your own time

So who is this program for?

I got more out of the 50/ 50 programme than any other course or diet I had ever tried. When I started I was tired, sleeping badly and compensating for tiredness by eating the wrong sugary foods – I also didn’t cope well with the demands of my job and after coming out of a particularly busy period, I had gained 5 pounds in 5 weeks and felt exhausted.
By asking the right questions, Louis immediately identified the foods that were working against me and the poor patterns that I was following. By making the right changes to my diet and combining that with 1-1 training I soon felt a huge difference. Within a couple of weeks I had lost weight, was sleeping much better and had no need to reach for the chocolate stash during the afternoon ‘slump’. Louis offered not only great advice but also great direction and while each session was demanding, they were also very enjoyable as he balanced a drive for results with support and motivation.

By the end of six weeks I had lost half a stone and 3 inches from my waist – results you might see from any diet, however this is not a diet – I am never hungry, don’t have to weigh out my portions and have a huge choice of foods to pick from so am never restricted. And that’s the key to the programme – it’s not a hyper intensive programme that you can only struggle through for a few sessions, it’s a total re-education about food and exercise that sets you up to make simple yet significant changes to your lifestyle.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this program for anyone who is serious about trying to lose weight or get in shape. Louis is a fantastic mentor and tailors the program to suit the individual’s needs. It was a great support to have a trainer there for each session to monitor your progress and challenge you to try harder each time. It was refreshingly different to training sessions I’d experienced at other gyms, where the trainer simply writes up a program for you to follow.

Every so often I make a burst at shedding the extra weight of which I carry in abundance and attempt to get fit, usually each attempt lasts 5 to 10 days with zero results. I was contemplating another such attempt when the frequently deleted train station mail hit my inbox, I knew it was exactly what I required a to get me on track, a solid starting point, previous attempts had failed due to injury or lack of motivation, the 50 \50 program allowed me overcome both of these. I really enjoyed the program as I had high motivation through the twice weekly sessions and started to see results within the first two weeks where previous attempts had yielded no results. I can’t thank the physical trainer enough for his direction and encouragement and I really feel I have an excellent chance to get in shape, reduce threat the of serious illness and take on new challenges. Now comes the hard part but at least now I know what I have to do and above all that I can do it.


I really enjoyed this programme and would definitely recommend it. What I learnt about nutrition has completely changed my view on what I eat and the effects different food has on both my weight and in particular my health. I was really amazed. The training is tough but it gave me an idea on how far I should and could push myself. Before doing this programme I would spend up to an hour 3 to 4 times a week in the gym and yet I wasn’t getting fit and I wasn’t losing weight, I know from what I’ve learnt that I will be able to reduce the 1 hour sessions while getting maximum benefit. If you’re lucky enough to get on it, it’s so worth it!

When I started the 50/50 program I never dreamed how different things could be by changing my diet and getting some exercise. I never realised until talking to Louis why I was tired, irritable and couldn’t concentrate for long periods. I’d get a full night’s sleep and wake up tired – I had no idea what was wrong. I wasn’t getting any exercise, my diet was sugar, sugar, sugar and more sugar so I was suffering from highs and lows throughout the day.

Louis explained what was happening and made some recommendations about what to eat and what not to eat. I stuck to his diet recommendations and while it was a struggle at first I soon got used to it. I hadn’t seriously exercised for years and my waist was growing all the time. Louis started me off slowly and gave me a huge variety of things to do to make training more interesting. In the first 9 days I lost 7 kilos and within 3 weeks I was running two 10Ks a week. I was swimming more and more than ever and my general health and fitness was dramatically improving.

In 6 short weeks I have completely turned my diet and my fitness around. I sleep better, feel better, am less irritable and don’t crave that 3 o’clock chocolate fix anymore. I’ve lost over 10 kilos (22lbs) is just 6 weeks. I couldn’t have done any of this without Louis help and support – he’s not just an excellent trainer, he’s also a great coach/mentor and part time counsellor.
